Husband at the pub... I start a BLOG...

Just had a great day. A short lie in, but a lie in none-the-less! Delivered Virgin Vie invites and catalogues to Francis, Ben, Zak and Dylan (but mostly Francis) and Holly and Daisy played with Zak. Not something they have really done before. Good for all of them, as relations between Holly and Zak haven't been the best in the past. One lovely moment when Zak asked Holly if she would like to see his dinosaurs! She did. In fact she met his dinosaurs (sea monkeys), rabbit, dog and snakes and stayed for quite a while actually. Even had her lunch, before I whisked her away to Cuil Bay. We had a picnic (used our free picnic basket), Holly and Daisy had their swimsuits (bikini for H - she loves it) and met Morag, Mike, Fin and Jude. A glorious afternoon watching husband-of-mine not get his feet wet, play, smile or even talk much. However, the girls loved it.

Mike, once Morag had moral support, buggered off. Not one for getting his feet wet, playing, smiling or even talking much.

When Mike did return, we took Fin in our car to the Creagan Inn for a pint. Daisy only wearing a swim nappy (completely useless item of sanitary wear) and a swimsuit (Holly refused to go into the pub in just her bikini!) peed all over the chair and floor... poor might... the woman behind the bar was fantastic and bearly batted an eyelid. By the time I had come back from completely changing Daisy, everything was cleared away. Wonderful.

Then home for a barely eaten dinner, except for the pancakes made by Holly and husband-of-mine, bath, and the world's shortest bedtime story as requested by Holly. Asleep before I had left the room I think.

Oh, that is husband-of-mine back from an exciting, non-alcoholic trip to the non-smoking pub with people he barely knows... but it was to wet baby Ava's head so he couldn't really refuse. Baby mad? Husband-of-mine? hmmmmm...

What a very uninteresting start to the blog world. Well, I guess it can only get better from here-on-in...



... but don't hold your breath!
