Happy Birthday, Freddie!

It was a good party. We only managed to stay for an hour and a half, but it was great to see Freddie and family and a few other folk I haven't seen for years. Shame we left before party food and cake! Bad timing, but when your 4 yo says "Can we go home now, please?", you have to listen. They seemed to enjoy dancing and playing with the balloons up until then though. There were loads of kids, all with much better party staying power than my family. Doesn't help when their Dad sits in a darkened corner and plays on his Palm phone!! Social Animal he ain't.

I think my apology was accepted by my friend, and I think it was VERY good I didn't get through as he was 'chatting' to his girlfriend in the States, and would NOT have wanted to interrupt that... ahem...

Oh, and my friend Bill's fund raiser made £1400. Fantastic. I, despite claiming that I never do, because I never do, won something on the raffle. Typical.

Just got a text from my friend inviting me to a get together next Saturday... I'm double booked! I don't believe it. Poo. I am double booked with: A Green Wing party! I can't give that up. I am really looking forward to it. Also, if I don't go there is no party, as it is my copy of the DVDs that are the very reason for the party... I'll let you know how it goes.
