Back story

17 November
(After a period of 3 months...)

11.30am Collect camera from local police station*

6.15pm Arrive home from work and remove camera and GPS from bag

6.20pm Look at photos

6.25pm I figure out how to open back of GPS and put in batteries

6.27pm Read what I guess is the owner's Name and Address written in Czech

7.30pm L puts the name in Google

7.32pm Hit two websites both in Czech

7.35pm I recognise name of town from address on second site

7.40pm L finds the guy's e-mail address

7.45pm L e-mails' said guy and asks 'Did you lose a camera in Scotland 3 months ago?'

7.47pm I e-mail said guy and ask 'Did tebe nestihnout vlak jeden fotoaparát do Skotsko 3 mésice pred?'

9.00pm Receive E-mail back saying 'Hello, yes, I am that one whom you gave a lift... Thank you very very, very much!!! It is fantastic that we will have those pictures I thought are lost
forever...'

R E S U L T

A little over 9 hours (a working day) we had re-united, almost, a tourist and his property. We feel rather chuffed with ourselves!

* (many thanks to the WONDERFUL Desk Sergant - who I don't want to get in trouble so won't mention her name - who didn't destroy the photos, like she is supposed to, as she felt bad that the camera hadn't been claimed and knew we were going to try and find the owner on the internet and thought the pics would help x)
