Ooooooooooh Glasvegas!!!
What a fantastic weekend.
As they usually do, it started in a fraught way... I left work early (after almost not going at all as I'd got totally confused with when I was/wasn't working/leaving), to find Liam whizzing around in his 'I'm-going-do-anything-and-everything-before-we-go' mode, making me more and more irate 'cos I want to just GO!!
Finally, bribed the girls with toffee and legged it. The closer we got to Glasgow, the more the tension lifted and we were talking and smiling again by the time we reached... IKEA (all bow down and hail the icon of cheap 'stuff'). Swedish meatballs, a chat with my mum and we were off

Arrived at the hotel at 2230, boggled at our lovely room and fell asleep. Well, tried to. It was a really quiet room for a city centre hotel, however, Liam had forgotten his book, so he spent most of the night watching dubious things on the tv at the bottom of the bed. And I spent most of the night waking up, and thinking 'what are you doing!!!'
Up, breakfast, and shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, met friend, Jackie, for coffee at Kelvingrove, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, drop stuff off at the hotel, shop, bumped into friend, Shaun, and took him for coffee in Princes' Square, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, flop at the hotel, went for a drink in my favourite pub in Glasgow at the mo - The Polo Lounge - (my other one - The Living Room - closed down), pigged out at the All-you-can-eat-Chinese-buffet, rolled back the hotel, drank a pint of Guinness, boggled at the fact that Liam got given a cheap plastic rose by the Chinese waitress at the buffet place (she said to give it me, but he has 'forgotten' that bit), went to bed and SLEPT!!!
Sunday, after breakfast, we packed up and then shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, gingerbread latte at Starbucks, met someone from Ballachulish!!!, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, IKEA again, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, shop, home, had fish & chips... arrived home just in time for the girls being in the bath and having a great splashy time!
Good to be home, but it was a necessary trip away. Now back at work :o(
Liam back to being a full-time daddy - and just phoned to tell me he had forgotten how much fun it was!
Went to LUSH, spent my Boots & Laura Ashley vouchers, and I GOT NEW JEANS - I'm a happy girl...
